- Three steps: what does the visitor need to do on SKL’s website, how can they solve their task in the simplest possible way, and how do we make sure they get the best possible service?
- Usability doesn’t mean everything should be easy: a thousand needles can’t all be at the top of the haystack. Friction that guides, rather than removing all friction.
- The start page: a large image and eight entry points. The first click is a first step towards a relationship.
- Quantitative and qualitative data: around 60 people click-tested the wireframes online, and I visited six people at their workplaces. “A click on the wrong link isn’t a failure if the user feels she is still in control of the situation.”
- Listen to what people do, not what they say.
- The mobile menu button was placed where the thumb reaches, in collaboration with Limepark.
